A week plenty of surprises along l’Anoia. Along this route, you will see one of the best-preserved, Orpí castle, beside you also have an iconic chapel called Sant Miquel d’Orpi. They will explain to us the strategic position of this castle and why it was build. Another pleasure of this long weekend trip is the meals. you will taste local food in the most iconic restaurants, getting a good idea of Catalan Cuisine and tasting local products. In Canaletes e will visit his impressive waterfalls and deep puddles, which is probably the nicest natural resource of the stage.

Day 1 ArrivalArrival at Somiatruites hotel, in Igualada, where you will stay the first night and you will give a welcome meeting. In the evening, you can go for a walk in the center village, before to have the first experience of the trip: tasting a nice local dinner.

Day 2 To Sant Martí de Tous11.0 kmLeaving Somiatruites hotel on the way to Sant Martí de Tous, there is a landscape surrounded by many vineyards. At km 5 of the route, there will be a guided visit to Mas Buret (bee keepers). They will show you the process of how to prepare the honey, types of bees and honeys and a small tasting. Once the guided visit is over, you can have a picnic for lunch and continue with the second part of the walk to finally reach Sant Martí de Tous where you will find the views of the Castell de Tous.

Day 3 Nature and castles12.0 kmThis stage is quite flat and with a different landscape compared to the days before. Two kilometers and a half after leaving the village you will find an impressive natural pool powered by a little waterfall. The route continues crossing a little hill to head to Orpi, the village where you will find the Santa Candia natural pool, and the apartments where you will rest. Dinner at the accommodation.

Day 4 Resting dayDay off. For lunch we will go to Castell d'Orpí, from where we will have fantastic views and enjoy a restaurant with local cuisine. Next door we have the baroque church of Sant Miquel d'Orpí which is worth visiting. On your way back to the hotel, you can go through the gorges of Santa Cândida, where, on a hot day, you can take a dip. Quiet day to enjoy the nature and tranquility of Anoia.

Day 5 Forests, fields and vineyards10.0 kmToday´s hike is a continuous up and down over poorly marked, narrow paths through forests, fields and vineyards. Total climbing today consists of 400m. Once we arrive at la Llacuna, we will visit Can Gripasso, where we will taste wines accompanied with cheeses from the village farmers.

Day 6 Contrast of landscapes10.0 kmLeaving La Llacuna, the path rises to the top of the mountain. From there, a gentle descent begins for 3km, leaving the forest and ending up in pastures. After crossing this area of fields and pastures, the path goes back into dense forest, slowly climbing for less than 2km, until we reach the peak of El Castellot. From there we start to descend until we leave the forest and reach Avelllà, the town where the walk ends.

Day 7 South of l'Anoia11.0 kmThe first kilometers are very flat, slightly descending until you reach the base of Montpedrós mountain, from where you begin a descent along a spectacular path where you will see two completely different landscapes: on our left, forest and mountain, and to our right, a fantastic valley, dotted with villages and fields. Then you will go along the village of Sant Quinti de Mediona, before arriving at the accommodation.

Day 8 Paper Mill and departureIn the morning, we will do a workshop and visit the Capellades Paper Mill Museum, where we will make our own paper using traditional methods as it was done years ago. After the visit, our journey ends and it is time to go home.

Day 9 To Capellades10.0 kmToday's itinerary begins by leaving the village and crossing the fields along a narrow path. After this flat start we will come across a small hill that we will go up, until we reach the highest point where we will have views of the entire south of the region. From there, all that remains is to go down until we reach Capellades, where we will stay.
